  • UNIVERSITY OF SZEGED: The tuition fees are around- €5,000 (for many bachelor’s / non-medical)
    Offers English-taught programs; strong in sciences, medicine, and humanities
  • Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest: The tuition fees are  €2,500 – €5,000 / year for many non-medical / non-specialised programs. Very strong reputation, many English-taught options.
  • University of Debrecen: The tuition fees are about €5,000-€8,500 USD equivalent for many non-medical programs; medicine is more expensive (≈ €10,000-15,000). Offers medicine in English, engineering, and business.
  • University of Pécs: The tuition fees are about €3,000-€7,800 for many fields; medicine/dental is more costly (could be ~€15,000 or more). One of the older universities, with a wide range of programs.
  • Budapest University of Technology & Economics (BME): The tuition fees are about €4,400-€8,000+ for many international / non-EU students in engineering or technical fields. Very good for engineering, tech, and applied sciences.
  • Corvinus University of Budapest: The tuition fees are about €5,000-€11,000, depending on the course (business/economics/social sciences) for non-EU students. Highly rated in business and economics.
  • Óbuda University: tuition for international students ranges from approximately €2,700–€3,200 per semester for bachelor’s programs, €3,200–€3,500 for master’s, and around €4,500 for PhD programs.

    Eligibility: Citizens of countries with bilateral agreements, 18+, with academic qualifications and language proficiency.

  • Scholarship for Christian Young People (SCYP): https://apply.scyp.hu/
    Benefits: Tuition fully covered, accommodation or HUF 40,000/month, monthly stipend HUF 166,600 (~€450), medical insurance, travel cost reimbursement HUF 200,000.
    Eligibility: 18+, academic qualifications, language skills, and a recommendation from an approved church organisation.
